Quickbooks is an amazing accounting-based software which enables us to record all the transactions in the book of accounts. It was first introduced in 1983 in, the USA for small-medium sized businesses and allows management payments, business payments, business bills, payroll functions and many more.

QB is packaged and marketed by Intuit. Intuit also offers a cloud-based service known as (QBO) QUICKBOOKS ONLINE.
QBO is supported on chrome, safari, internet explorer and Firefox and is also accessible via chrome on android and Safari iOS 7.
Quickbooks Point of Sale is software which replaces cash registers, tracks inventory, sales and customer information, and provides reports for managing its business and serving its customers.
At the end of the day, we can see where our business stands and digitally it would show statements like profit and loss, balance sheet and accounts receivable/ owners equity.
IN THIS BLOG I WILL BE TEACHING HOW TO CAPTURE PAYMENTS FROM THE QBO MOBILE APP VIA A SMARTPHONE. THE PHONE APP WORKS ON ANDROID, IPHONE AND IPAD. (TEACHING THE IPHONE WAY, MIGHT BE SLIGHT DIFFERENT IN ANDROID)
STEP 1: Make sure the app is logged in via iPhone. Hit the plus sign on the create button and click on the receipt capture.
STEP 2: The phone will ask to give authorization for using the camera and photos. Make sure to provide all the access to the camera to capture the receipts.
STEP 3: After providing full access to the camera, place the phone on the receipt and it will take a photo of the receipt. Go ahead and use that photo it would take a couple of seconds and it's done.
STEP 4: Now, you can go to QuickBooks Online on the laptop in the banking tab and hit receipts. There will be the receipt captured from the phone. Now, if we hover the cursor over the receipt it shows the receipt picture, the following tabs will be a date, payment account, total payment/ tax, category match and action. Please make sure that the information recorded matches the information on the receipt.
STEP 5: When you click on one of the tabs a larger dropdown box will be opened. Here, you can insert all the necessary information into much smaller broken tabs. Insert the missing information which could not be read from the receipt.
STEP 6: After reviewing all the information hit create expense on the bottom right and a new expense will be created and recorded. You can search the transaction when it was created on the top right search bar as all the recent transactions show up in the recent search bar. Open the transaction and you can manually see how the transaction was been recorded. On the bottom, there should be an attachment of the receipt you captured at the start.
STEP 7: If all the information is correct and accurate, hit save and close.
